À propos de l'événement
The energy sector faces a talent crisis masked as a diversity problem. Currently:
Women represent only 20% of the energy workforce, with less than 15% in senior management
Female energy start-up founders account for just 11%—half the rate of other sectors
In the UK, ethnic minorities comprise 6% of energy and utilities workers—half the national workforce average of 13%
Women hold fewer than 11% of patents in core energy technologies
This systematic exclusion of talent occurs precisely when the sector undergoes its most significant transformation. Research demonstrates that gender-diverse boards correlate with improved company performance—making diversity not merely an equity issue, but a strategic imperative for energy innovation and climate goals.
